Our stay at the Altis Avenida was simply exceptional! The hotel is very well located, near two metro stations and a train station, right at the end of the Avenue da Liberdatea and minutes from Praca do Rossio, perfect place to start exploring the city. The building itself and the rooms are very nicely decorated and the bed was very comfortable. It was also soundproofed from the street which is very important, as cars drive by day and night. The wow of the building is the roof terrance where you can have breakfast or stay at the bar, with incredible panorama views of the city. The bar is a night visit in the evenings! But the star of this hotel are the staff. I can't remember the last place I felt so welcomed. Every interaction we had with them was exceptional. I am really sorry I did not catch all the names, they are truly worth of praise, but the few ones i remember - warm thanks to Ines from the reception desk, Iasabel, Julia and Frederico from the Consierge, Telma and Patricio from the Restaurant and all the others - thank you! Just to give you an idea of the level of service... as a vegan as was a bit concerned I would not have much to choose from at breakfast. First morning when i go to breakfast, i meet Frederico (who also happened to be vegan), and assures me that I am covered. If you have special needs, they will check with the kitchen and try to make something happen. In a few minutes I had tofu, an almond milk and a few vegan options for sandwiches. That was something. (But even without this I had plenty options at breakfast). Second morning, I meet Telma at breakfast, and i only say "i'm vegan" and she already knew what I had the other day and they brought it in. At the end of the week, when Telma's shift had ended, the person that came in Telma's place, she also know what I have. Nice!

From the moment we arrived, we felt like VIP's. Staff bent over backward to be sure our room met our needs, even offering a tour of the options so we could decide. The hotel is next to metro stop and train station, as well as a lively square with many nice shops, restaurants, etc. Santa Justa elevator is a short walk. The breakfast room on the 7th floor has beautiful city views. We were on scooters, and some areas such as the elevator were a bit tight but staff were right there to direct us, to move furniture for us, etc. Showing even more incentive, they left the tables set up for us each day of our stay so we could enjoy breakfast easily. Everyone was pleasant, helpful and efficient. The food was excellent, with many hot and cold choices. I particularly enjoyed the pastels de nata and cappuccino. Each day offered a nice selection of fruit, hot and cold meats, cheese, eggs, yogurt, etc. Another very nice touch by the hotel was a greeting gift of pasteis de nata and a bottle of port on our first day. Our room was a nice size, and though on the street, was very quiet. There are automated black out curtains in the room. Bottled water was gratis, as was Nespresso. The bed and linens were very comfortable and we slept very well. A delicious piece of chocolate left with turn down service ensured we had sweet dreams.

The first thing to say is that all of the staff we met at the Altis Avenida hotel were very friendly and attentive throughout our stay. We booked a superior room and were given a free room upgrade, to one with a balcony, which was a nice surprise. Our room was on the 6th floor at the corner of the hotel, so the views were wonderful. The room was quiet (as requested) and came equipped with blackout blinds, robes, slippers, a wide range of bathroom toiletries and a Nespresso coffee machine. There were also some complimentary items to welcome us: Pasteis de nata, a bottle of water and a small bottle of port. A wide selection of food and drink was on offer at breakfast, which was made even more enjoyable by the great city views from the 7th floor dining room. The Restauradores Metro station is literally a few steps from the hotel entrance which makes the trip to and from the airport very easy. There are numerous train, bus and tram connections nearby as well as plenty of restaurants, bars and shops.

Altis Avenida is an amazing hotel to stay at in Lisbon. Located central to many places. The staff in the hotel is super attentive and is helpful with any suggestions you may need. It has a great rooftop for incredible morning and sunset views. Ricardo, Ines, Isabel, and Francisco were some of the incredible staff that made me feel at ease with any and every request. The housekeeping staff is great they even had a turn down routine where they refill the water, leave chocolates, close your shades and prepare the room for the night. The hotel is really clean and modern with big showers. I could not recommend this hotel enough and can’t wait to stay here again.

Accarpio

Stylish and well-appointed. Rooms were clean and nicely furnished and the shower was simply fabulous. Staff were pleasant and friendly and I was happily surprised by the hotel bringing me a cake and champagne on my birthday! The location is useful as the hotel is next to a metro station and opposite a train station (Rossio). There is an excellent seafood restaurant pretty much next door - it’s very popular and you have to queue to get in, but it’s well worth it. A bookable underground car park with electric car chargers is very conveniently situated close to the hotel.
